Controller and data collected

Engine Nodecore is the controller for personal data collected through this website and our business relationship. We may receive your name, work contact details, enquiry, correspondence, contract records, billing details and meeting notes. Clients should not submit app-user datasets through the contact form.

Purposes and lawful bases

We use contact details to answer enquiries and take steps toward a contract; engagement records to perform and administer a contract; and limited business records for legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the practice. Legal obligations may require financial record keeping.

Service data

Where consultancy requires access to a client’s user-level analytics, the client’s written instructions and data-processing terms apply. Access is limited to agreed people and systems. Direct identifiers should be removed where they are unnecessary for the analysis.

Sharing and international transfers

We may use vetted hosting, email, accounting and professional advisers. We do not sell personal data. If a supplier processes data outside the UK, we use an adequacy regulation or recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement and assess the transfer where required.

Retention

Unsuccessful enquiry records are normally kept for 18 months. Contract and financial records are generally retained for six years after the relevant accounting period. Project working data is deleted or returned according to the engagement, ordinarily within 90 days of completion unless a longer period is agreed.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent where consent is used. Contact hello@engine-nodecore.digital. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
